Course Description

There are various paths to creating and cultivating a wellness culture. This session will provide a deeper understanding of the various components necessary to deploy or reposition a community’s wellness initiative. There are many visions surrounding the implementation of a wellness program. During this session presenters will examine a current plan, visualize a potential framework, and determine workable design solutions through an analysis of a wellness philosophy, a business model, and an existing wellness culture initiative. The presentation will provide the attendees with a strategic plan they can implement to either develop or elevate their current overall wellness-focused culture model within their community.

Learning Objectives

• Understand components of a wellness-focused community culture and design best practices for implementing and maintaining the operation.

• Identify the various stakeholders and the information that will describe the current scenario and challenges to the development of a successful wellness-focused continuum.

• Use the recommended analysis tools to identify key areas to collect resident and community team survey information to measure the outcomes of various wellness activity programs and the design that supports those programs.

• Consider common wellness programming and design challenges that exist and how to overcome them to achieve success in a new senior living model.
