Course Description
Walk through an engaging planning process in which two adjoining campuses, Kendal at Longwood and Crosslands in Kennett Square, Pa., simultaneously developed a plan to revitalize the two 50-year-old campuses. The key to the success of the process was to provide meaningful opportunities for continued input from all residents, staff, Board and prospective residents. This path occurred throughout the pandemic, which required developing new online ways to facilitate activities normally done in person such as focus groups, a design charrette, large group meetings, and review of final working plans. Takeaways from this session can alter the methods used to develop a master plan with community support.
