Design projects vary in size, scope, demographics and budgets; however, one commonality is they will each present a number of challenges throughout the course of a project. Some challenges are unique, while others are quite common. Learn from three designers, each working within a different top design firm in the country specializing in senior living, how to creatively address these challenges and identify potential problems before they occur. This trio of designers will share the most common “FAQs” gathered from their diverse project experiences, lessons learned, and depth of industry experience to positively impact the lives of seniors.
Learning Objectives
• Identify the most frequent design challenges faced by owners and residents in senior living communities across the U.S.
• Hear about individual examples of design solutions that were most successful in impacting and improving the lives of seniors through the built environment.
• Explore the differences between addressing these challenges in new construction versus the renovation and redevelopment of communities.
• Learn how to proactively identify potential issues during the design process through exploration with owners, developers, staff, and residents.
