In early 2019, a multidisciplinary team of SAGE members completed a post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of LivGenerations Ahwatukee in Phoenix, Arizona to compare stated design goals against outcomes. Additionally, the POE measured how the building is functioning for both residents and staff. This research uses CITI protocols which ensures the highest level and rigor in research . Dive into the results of this POE as SAGE continues the tradition of helping providers and designers learn from winning projects.
Learning Objectives
• Understand why aesthetics aren’t the only measure of successful design projects.
• Learn how stated design goals translate into real-life operational and resident experiences.
• Hear from a team of multidisciplinary perspectives regarding how this building’s design features are working for the residents and staff, and where it’s not.
• Discover why the SAGE POE is a valuable tool for evaluating the design of a building in use.
