Course Description

Change is coming and next-generation seniors want a different living experience. Instead of age-segregated, one-size-fits-all settings, many are looking for intergenerational living options with robust connection to the broader community through proximity, work, and interests. This presentation explores leading-edge knowledge of shifting trends in senior living to help plan for and meet new consumer expectations. Development, design, and marketing professionals will each share innovative strategies for responding to current and evolving changes in senior living, including seven principals of intergenerational planning. Participants will develop practical tools for applying these and other market-forward strategies in both large- and small-scale scenarios to prepare them for the future of senior living.

Learning Objectives

• Identify how next-generation senior expectations differ from current seniors and how to shift to meet new expectations.
• Learn how intergenerational planning concepts can address future consumer expectations.
• Obtain intergenerational planning principals and see how to apply them to large- and small-scale projects as well as existing and new campuses.
• Discover how intergenerational planning can strengthen not only the marketability of long term living settings, but their financial foothold, as well.
