Environments for Aging (EFA) Remodel/Renovation Competition
Environments for Aging’s annual Remodal/Renovation Competition, with support from SAGE, sheds light on many little-seen projects that have noteworthy aspects for inspiring renovation projects, big or small. SAGE assembles jury members for the evaluation of entries based in part on the SAGE design principles and presents the results (along with a panel of the winners) at the annual Environments for Aging Conference and via SAGE webinar.

Serving as a Remodel/Reno jury member, I learned a great deal about design efforts that enhance existing Senior Living / Healthcare environments. We learned new ideas for helping our own clients stay relevant in their markets, by improving or adding program and designing spaces that help Residents and Staff thrive as they age. Through our work to recognize exceptional environments, I believe the standards that represent the best in design are elevated year after year.
