Course Description

This session highlights the importance design plays in fostering diversity and inclusion and how architects and designers play a major role in developing spaces that foster community. Based on five pillars of inclusivity (age, ability, economics, race, and gender and sexual orientation), presenters will demonstrate how thoughtful senior living design can help clients advance their DEI goals by creating inclusive and diverse communities. The session will explore inclusive design processes, internally and with clients and user groups, and will provide examples from case studies from macro to micro, all aiming to bring people together and promote diversity and inclusion.
