About Omar

Omar has 27 experience in the senior living industry in design, development and management. As one of the principals at SB&A architects he leads the senior living studio. He has provided architecture services, including all phases of design, land entitlements, building programming, capital budgets and construction oversite. From 2010 to 2012 he founded and chaired Pathway Senior Living Management and oversaw a retirement community in Des Moines with 100 IL and 44 SNF. While at LCS, he was responsible for executing multiple development projects. Including ground up project CCRC’s. Originally from Chile, Omar came to the U.S. via his parents in 1969. He has been a resident of Ames, IA since 1989, and with his wife raised their family. Omar believes in creating opportunity and success in the lives of his clients, partners and friends. Omar currently serves as President of the Board for Northcrest Retirement community a CCRC in Ames Iowa. Previously he served on the board of the Des Moines YMCA Supportive Housing Campus. A homeless to home program that houses 60 souls.
